We extend our gratitude and admiration to Barbara Ellis, math team advisor extraordinaire, for sharing her leadership and guidance with our math team members over the years!
Barb provided us with our teams' latest adventures in math:
HMS is immensely proud of our fifth and sixth grade math team members, who attended their third math meet of the year on Tuesday March 6th in Portland. Several students were recognized with ribbons and trophies.
Fifth graders Mathieu Charrette and Julius Sawnhey earned 5th place ribbons for their individual scores. The fifth grade team placed 4th overall.
In sixth grade, Milo Sanokklis and Sebastien Martiniz were the only 6th graders at the meet to achieve perfect scores, bringing home first place trophies! The sixth grade team came in 5th overall. Congratulations to all of these young mathletes!
