A team of sixth grade students created our first ever school newspaper, entitled Harrison Times! Rod Corey and 8th grade students, Andi Cobaj and Nick Krah received a YEF grant for their phenomenal work on the HMS Robotics proposal, which will allow our students to engage with the engineering design process in fascinating ways! We are so grateful to YEF for their support of innovation in our schools!
Milo Sanokklis received the Steingart Music Award. The Steingart family established this scholarship for private music lessons prior to Mr. Steingart's passing in 2013. This award recognizes Milo's passion for music and his unrelenting dedication to improving his work. We are thrilled to celebrate this wonderful recognition with Milo and his family! The HMS community extends their deep gratitude to the Steingart family for making this opportunity possible for our students.

5th Grade students visited with their friends at Bay Square to share the Thanksgiving poems they wrote for this special occasion:

The HMS 2020 yearbook is on sale for pre-orders
Yearbooks are available for $25 until December 31, 2019. The price will increase to $30 from January 1, 2020 to the assembly in June (as supplies last). You can order online at the Josten.com Yearbook Order Link OR, submit the attached order form and $25 (cash or check payable to HMS) to Mrs. Allen's mailbox in the HMS front office. Lost and Found Update
Items left in the Lost and Found will be donated monthly moving forward, as we are out of storage space in our school. Items with names on them will be returned to our students.

-Community presentation on tobacco and vaping - Wednesday, December 18 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Yarmouth High School Cafe
-Winter Break - December 23 to January 1 - NO SCHOOL
