Dear Class of 2022 Families,

After last Friday’s senior class meeting, we would like to share several updates of important senior events. First, Senior Yearbook Ads are due on Nov. 1.  Please see this link  2022 Senior Ad INFO for more information.

Next, the Class of 2022 will hold a town wide bottle drive on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13, to raise money for senior events.  Students will be canvassing the town in trucks, knocking on doors and collecting returnables.  Also, parents can drop off returnables at the Redemption Center on Rte 1 from 9:30am-2pm on that day OR drop them off at the W Elm entrance on WEDNESDAY, Nov 10 (I'll bring our truck that day and take the bags home with me to bring on Saturday).  If we can encourage them to save up their cans and bottles for that drive, it would be helpful.  WE ALSO NEED 6 PARENTS (3 for morning shift 9-11:30; 3 for afternoon shift 11:30-2pm) to help sort at the redemption center.  FREE PIZZA LUNCH will be provided for all workers (kids and parents). (I'll probably be sending out a separate email asking for those volunteers closer to the date, but mentioning the need now would be helpful).  Parents can reach out directly to me at mary_highland@yarmouthschools.org if they can take a morning or afternoon shift.

Senior and Baby Yearbook photos are due Dec. 6. High resolution digital photos only please!  These should be submitted to Betsy Puelle (pictures may be dropped off at the new main entrance on the Portland Road side of campus).   Please email Betsy for more information.  betsy_puelle@yarmouthschools.org.   Yearbooks are also on sale at  jostens.com

Caps and Gowns - On Friday, the seniors were sent a link to order their caps and gowns.  If you could please check with your son/daughter to make sure they completed that form it would be greatly appreciated.  The cost for each student is $29. If your son/daughter has a cap and gown from a sibling they may use that if they choose.  The cost for just the 2022 tassel is $6 and the cost for a cap with 2022 tassel is $12.   If you plan on paying with a check, please make it payable to Yarmouth High School.  Students will give payments to their advisors.

Graduation Site Survey - For several reasons, we need to consider other graduation options rather than the traditional West Elm entrance site where guests sit under a tent with limited seating capacity.   This might include other on-site opportunities (such as last year's graduation held at the turf field) or consideration of potential off-site opportunities (such as Merrill Auditorium, The Cross Arena, or other large capacity venues).  Please take a few minutes to respond to the following questions as we value your feedback regarding this year’s ceremony link here (please note you will need a Gmail account to access the survey).
