 Dear YES Families,

As we shared with you earlier this month, Yarmouth Elementary School report cards will now be accessed electronically. Instead of printed paper report cards being sent home by teachers, you will now log in to PowerSchool and access them there. As we move forward, you will be able to access your child’s historical grades as they progress through each grade level.

Teachers will let you know when the report card has been completed for their classroom and is ready for you to view. The parent-teacher conference window for this winter runs through the months of February and March. Teachers will be reaching out to you over the coming weeks to schedule that conference. They will also make sure that their report card is accessible to you prior to the conference.

When viewing the report card you will see that it shares information on attendance, Life Role Outcomes, academic progress, and Unified Arts. Please note that the Unified Arts team does not report on individual student performance standards so the semester grading lines are not filled in. Our UA team provides a narrative comment on your child’s learning experience each semester for all seven specials.

Also, please note that for students who have an Individual Education Plan with goals, the reports on those goals will be sent to you separately from this report card just as they have been historically. If a student receives full pull out support in an academic area then you will note that area may not be filled in on the electronic report card as it is covered in the IEP progress report.

After you receive confirmation from your child’s teacher that report cards are ready to view, please follow these steps on PowerSchool  to access their report card.

As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued partnership and support!

 Thanks,

Ryan Gleason, YES Principal & Molly Kilpatrick, YES Assistant Principal
