Dear HMS Parents and Guardians,
Another HMS school year has had a wonderful beginning; the transition from summer to school was seamless - maybe somewhat painful given the farewell to summer, but seamless. Our 73 staff members welcomed 491 students this year. In the early 90's our enrollment was up to 550 and then it reached a low of 430 at the beginning of the 2000's. We are growing again.
I plan to send these HMS At-A-Glance emails to you every two weeks to provide the highlights of upcoming events. For much more detailed information please refer to our website, and contact us, if you have any questions. Website address:http://hms.yarmouthschools.org/
We have been using Power Announcement and PowerSchool to send our emails to you. Both have their technological challenges. As we figure this all out, please bear with us.
The HMS Newsletter (Blog) is another great source of information with text and pictures. Recent posts include Ovarian Cancer Awareness, Elaine Fletcher's featured art work, 6th grade students launching rockets, the PTO donation of t-shirts to the 8th grade, and more. You can subscribe to the HMS Newsletter by filling in your email address and submitting; it's on the top right.
