Active communication and effective discipline are keys to raising teens who can succeed in
today’s world.  HMS offers the “Active Parenting” course in the fall and in the spring to explore these essential supports.  This course has been rated as “excellent” by parents who have attended these sessions. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn new strategies, as well as, share ideas and experiences with other parents

Parents will Learn:

*to identify parenting styles and how to influence teen behavior.

*how to build courage, self-esteem, and positive behavior.

*the five goals of teen behavior.

*steps for preventing problems.

*how to help teens develop responsibility and mutual respect.

*effective communication skills.

8:30 - 10:30 AM

4 weekly sessions (1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13)  

There is a $20 fee for the book.  Classes will meet in the HMS Conference Room.
